The dried, ripe fruits: elongated, egg-shaped with three blunt longitudinal edges, 2-4cm long and
1-2.5cm in cross-section. Gray-brown or reddish-brown surface with longitudinal furrows or longitudinal
ribs; towards the tip is a circular raised stylus base visible, at the base is a fruit stalk or its break-off
point recognizable. Firm, resistant fruit bowl, which can easily be torn open in the longitudinal direction.
After peeling off the outer shell, yellow-brown septums are visible which divide the seed agglomerate
into three segments, each segment containing 8-11 seed grains. The semina have a conical-polyhedral
shape with diameters of 5 mm and show a red-brown surface covered by a gray-white, membrane-like
arillus. Longitudinally shaped raphe, at the top concave hilum; hard consistency, gray-white endoderm.
